Emily Stier, BA is the Education Coordinator at The Center for Family Based Training, and is your point of contact for all-things administrative. This includes contracting, scheduling, overseeing fidelity measures, and technical assistance with the online learning center.
Emily first became involved with intensive in-home family based services in 2009 when she became an Administrative Program Director with Pennsylvania Counseling Services FBMHS in York County, later transferring to Lancaster County where she was born and raised. She enjoyed that role until 2014, when she began working for the Center for Family Based Training. While working in Family Based Mental Health Services, she loved learning about the clinical side of ESFT from the main training faculty at that time – Dr. Jones, Andy Fussner and Jorge Colapinto. She also understood the value of the day-to-day administrative tasks associated with running effective clinical programs. Emily’s experience as a program manager in the world of intensive in-home services affords her a valuable insider perspective on the challenges supervisors face in juggling the multiple demands and tasks related to program implementation. She understands the importance of supporting through responsiveness, knowledge, and patience. Her aim is to make the training experience a good one for everyone.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, reading old mystery novels, getting outdoors, and investing in the pastoral-care role she has at her church.
