Online Continuing Education

Our online courses are designed for busy front-line practitioners and supervisors who work with multi-stressed families and their children.

We are a specialized training program led by faculty with many years of experience practicing and teaching family therapy.  We have first-hand knowledge of the challenges therapists working in the home and community regularly face. The practitioners and supervisors who take our courses are committed to providing the best treatment possible. And they want their clinical work grounded in sound clinical theory and research yet may have little time to attend live workshops.

Selected online courses are required for in-home intensive family-based practitioners enrolled in our comprehensive ESFT certificate training programs. If enrolled in Pennsylvania’s FBMHS training program, click here to see the list of the required online courses. If enrolled in North Carolina’s ESFT IIH training program, click this link.

What is unique about our on-line training program?

Our online training goes well beyond traditional webinars.  We have organized the topics in our online library as short courses.  There are usually several 10 to 30 minute webinars in each course that address different aspects of the topic.  Downloadable readings and reference lists are included with each subtopic to complement and deepen the information presented in the webinars. Links are also provided to other web-based material related to the course topic, such as YouTube videos, NPR podcasts, and TED Talks, when available.

Can I receive Continuing Education credit for completing the on-line courses?

The Center for Family Based Training, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6424. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. The Center for Family Based Training, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
